Nokia has surprised us with Nokia 6.1 Plus


After long waiting, Nokia brand licensee HMD Global launched its two new smartphones Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 Plus in India on Tuesday. In the case of Android smartphones, Nokia has now made a good grip on the Indian market. In an event held in New Delhi, the company took the curtains from both the smartphones. You may know these phones by the name Nokia X6 and Nokia X5, respectively, as they are called in China. Nokia 6.1 Plus is the global variant of the Nokia X6 launched in China. The biggest feature of this phone is its Nokia display and two rear cameras. Let's say that just before the launch of this smartphone, Nokia had made a big reduction in the price of its recently launched Nokia 6.1 smartphone. The Nokia X6 has seen a tremendous success in China, having sold out on JD.com in just 10 seconds during its initial sale. The company promised its global launch would take place after an overwhelmingly positive response from fans around the world. The Nokia 6.1 Plus and 5.1 Plus are touted to bring the best of the industrial design to Nokia, bringing not just a notched display, but also a glass design that covers the phone by over 90 percent. HMD is also assuring a solid build quality with an aluminum frame in between. Both new Nokia smartphones have a display design like iPhone X. Nokia's two new smartphones have been given features such as Nano Painting Technology and Rear Gloss Finish.

Prices & Offers of Nokia 6.1 & Nokia 5.1

We all were guessing the Nokia 6.1 price will be between 18000-20000 but, Nokia surprised everyone. When announced pretty aggressive price in India. Nokia 6.1 Plus is priced at Rs 15,999. The phone has begun to be launched from Tuesday for the phone and the first cell will start on August 30. Nokia did not announce the pricing of the Nokia 5.1 Plus and that will be revealed when it goes on sale in September. We can expect that the price of Nokia 5.1 would be between Rs 10,000-12,000. If the price will be higher, Nokia 5.1 will not succeed much in Indian Smartphone’s market because there are many other options in this price range like Realme2(Upcoming), Xiaomi’s mobiles, Honor’s mobiles etc.

Nokia 6.1 Plus Specifications

All the specification in the Nokia 6.1 Plus are Nokia x6. It has a 5.8 inch Full HD + (1080x2280 pixels) display, which is equipped with 2.5 diamond cut Gorilla Glass 3. A knock on the display is given and the aspect ratio of the screen is 19:9. The phone has an Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 processor and 4 GB RAM. This Nokia smartphone has Nokia 6.1 Plus 64 GB inbuilt storage which can be expanded up to 400 GB via MicroSD card.

Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with Dual SIM touch and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo. Nokia 6.1 Plus has 3060 mAh battery, with an 18-watt charger. The company claims that the phone's battery is charged up to 50 percent in only 30 minutes and Quick Charge 3.0 technology is done. Smartphone has a dual rear camera setup with aperture F/2.0 16-Mega-pixel primary and 5-Mega-pixel monochrome sensor. Nokia 6.1 Plus has a 16-Mega-pixel front camera with selfie F/2.0 for a selfie and video recording.
For connectivity, Nokia 6.1 Plus has features such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-fi 802.11 AC, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack and USB Type-C port. Accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope and proximity sensors have been provided in the Nokia 6.1 Plus. The dimensions of the phone are 147.2x70.98x7.99 millimeters and weighing 151 grams.

Nokia 5.1 Specifications

It has a 5.8 inch Full HD + (1080x2280 pixels) display. A knock on the display is given and the aspect ratio of the screen is 19:9. MediaTek Helio P60 processor has been given Nokia 5.1 Plus.
Nokia 5.1 has dual rear camera setup with 13-Mega-pixel primary and 5-Mega-pixel secondary sensor. The camera comes with a Bokeh effect. The phone has as 8-Mega-pixel front camera for a selfie and video calling which comes with the AI Assisted Portrait Lighting feature. Nokia 5.1 Plus runs on Android 8.1 .0 Oreo operating system and is part of the Android One program.
